Dive Site Description of Fesdhoo Wreck / Fesdu Wreck

This diving site, known as the Fesdhoo wreck, is located southwest off the coast of Fesdhoo island in the North Ari Atoll. The wreck itself is a 30 meter long fishing trawler sitting on the seabed that has formed a man-made reef some 30 meters beneath the water’s surface. The wreck is also close to a thila that is itself 12 meters deep - together these two features make this place a top destination for divers in the Maldives.

The exterior of the Fesdhoo wreck is covered with both hard and soft corals as well as sponges and featherstars all of different colours and sizes. Sea life is abundant so expect to swim alongside angelfish, snappers, scorpionfish oriental grunts, lionfish, glassfish and butterflyfish. White tip reef sharks, Hammerhead sharks and Eagle rays can also be seen.
